My 2021 Goals & Word Of The Year

Happy New Year Friends!

The past few years I chosen a word for the year and really like the concept so we are keeping with tradition this year. In 2020 my word was CHANGE and oh there was A LOT of change! To some up 2020 for us, we got married, the world then shut down, Travis lost his job but get a 10x better one, I quit my 9-5 to give my all to my business, we moved from Orlando to Sarasota and that basically wraps up 2020 for us.

On to 2021 my word this year is STRENGTH. With all the change that happened last year I want to gain strength in my life and show strength in my business and life as well. That being said I’ve spent the last few weeks setting goals both personal & business. These aren’t resolutions because truthfully I never ever stick to resolutions but last year writing goals down and making a vision board for those things were a huge help, 2/3 of those goals were accomplished and I couldn’t be more proud!

So cheers to 2021! I hope y’all have an awesome start to the new year!

My 29th Birthday and Lessons I'm Taking With Me!

Happy Wednesday again friends!

Today’s post is a BIG birthday post! Today is actually my mom’s birthday and I celebrated my 29th birthday on Monday! So today I’m sharing a fun birthday look with some lessons I’m taking into the last year in my 20’s along with a birthday note to my mom!

So far my 20’s have taught me a lot! I’m grateful for the lessons and the growth over the past several years! I learned about being in a relationship through long distance and then knowing it was wanted and who I wanted to be with forever. I’ve learned you can be confident in who you are and still want to grow and change at the same time! I’ve learned with people in my life it’s quality over quantity. It’s ok to say NO to plans and take time for yourself, that’s OK! I’ve learned not to compare myself to anyone as I’m on my own path on my own journey and I’ll get to where I’m supposed to be when I should be there. These are just a few important lessons the last 8 years have taught me! I’m grateful for them! My 29th year I’m focusing on my health and growing ('in business, personally, and in life) before the big 3-0 next year! AHHHH! I’m so excited for this next trip around the sun and all it has to hold!

Today is my mom’s birthday and I want to take a minute to celebrate her! She’s my best friend and I’m so blessed that she is my mom! As I’ve gotten older I’m more and more grateful for the relationship with my mom and everything she does for me! She’s so special and just the best ever and I’m so lucky she’s my mom! I could go on and on! I have some of my favorite moments with her below! Love you mom!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve friends!

I hope y’all are enjoying the holiday season even though it looks different for a lot of us this year. It’s very different for us as we usually travel up north to visit family and to stay safe we are staying home in Florida this year. That being said we appreciate the opportunity to stay home and enjoy our new place and our décor. Living so close to my parents again we’ve gotten to really soak in the holiday traditions and festivities that are usually rushed, which has been amazing!

We will be doing our own Christmas Eve here at our place and celebrating Christmas with my parents! I’ve really enjoyed decorating our new place for the holidays and this is a look at our tree and some of the decorating!

I hope you have a great holiday however you are celebrating! Lot’s of love!

Dining Room Details with AllModern

Happy Monday Friends!

I have a fun dining room reveal to share with you today, sponsored by AllModern.

We recently moved into a new apartment that offered us space for a small dining room area and found the perfect set from AllModern. AllModern offers tons of options for any space you have, whether a small apartment or a large home they have great options for you! With the holidays among us we were in need of a cute and functional dining set that was also affordable. This set was at a great price point and came with the table and chairs which are so comfortable and easily go with any space!

You can find the set HERE the chairs come in tons of different colors and it’s currently on sale! It’s a great deal and also super easy to put together yourself! Again this is great for an apartment or would be perfect in a breakfast nook or small eating space in a home. This set seats four people comfortably as well as make the space feel larger since the table top is glass. I love the gold elements of the table and chair legs that they go with everything and act as a neutral in the apartment. I can’t say enough good things about AllModern and everything they offer. Make sure to check them out!

Holiday Planning

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Can you believe we are less than 3 weeks from Christmas already? Sadly the holidays just aren’t the same this year! We won’t be traveling this year to stay safe so it’s a Florida Christmas for us.

I’m finishing up my shopping this week and doing all the things! Wrapping, baking, and holiday prep are underway! We have all the decorations and lights up so that makes things a little brighter…right?

That being said I wanted to share another kind of everyday look with y’all I promise winter clothes and sweaters are coming soon but let’s be honest we only get like two weeks of cold weather here in Florida!

This has been one of my favorite dresses recently from Old Navy and super comfortable flats from Vionic and bag from LC Lauren Conrad! This is an everyday look for me super comfortable yet still put together!

We're moving to Sarasota!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Travis and I have an exciting announcement…we are officially moving to Sarasota, FL!

If you’ve been around a while you know that I was born and raised in Sarasota and left 10 years ago when I left for college and haven’t lived there since. This is so so meaningful to me as I haven’t lived anywhere else that I considered home and Sarasota has and will always be home to me! I left the city thinking there was a better place for me and at that time I had to learn the hard way that SRQ was my place.

2020 has been rough but it’s also brought so many great things for Travis and I. Travis has a new job where he works remotely and I started working for myself a few moths ago so I can work anywhere as well, what better time than now to make a move we have been longing to make for years now! We aren’t people to say anything until we know it’s for certain. So we took a day trip to check out apartments in Sarasota to check out our options and sure enough we found the perfect place and got approved that weekend!

I can’t tell y’all how happy I am to be moving back to my city, my home! I have never felt more at home than in SRQ and I can’t wait to experience my favorite city with my husband by my side! I’m excited to be close to my parents again and some of my best friends there is nothing more exciting right now!

That being said I hope y’all are ready for lots of home décor and new posts about our new city!

Orlando, it’s been real, thanks for the memories!

My Everyday Fall Look From LC Lauren Conrad

Hi friends! Hope y’all are doing well!

I wanted to share my everyday fall look that I feel is great no matter where you live in most cases. These are all pieces from LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s that are perfect to have in your closet no matter the time of year. Here in the sunshine state these layers are great for fall and going into winter. I’ve been loving the olive green and the details on this jacket are the cutest. Paired with this polka dot foil top and the perfect pair of denim it doesn’t get better. The shoes are also the best for running around in and I seriously need them in every color!

Let me tell you more about the denim though. LC Lauren Conrad has updated their jeans and sizing and this is now my FAVORITE pair of jeans in my closet! These are the Feel Good High Rise Skinny Jeans in the Jasmine Wash. literal perfect I tell you! They are true to size you could actually probably size down one if needed. I take a 12 Short but could probably also do a 10 Short as well and absolutely love them!

Also more on these fabulous shoes. Does anyone else get Mary-Kate and Ashley vibes? I’m obsessed! Also seriously so comfortable and I think you could take these from running around town to the office to out especially in the black, these are the Obsidian Women’s Block Heel Sandals, a must have!

What are your must have pieces for fall?

Small Dining Space Inspiration with AllModern

Happy Wednesday Friends!

This week I’m sharing something so exciting for me! I’ve always loved furniture and home décor and love sharing my inspiration with y’all! Well this year especially, I’ve changed and rearranged everything in our place countless times due to COVID and spending more time at home. There is nothing better to me than loving the space you call home!

As we head into holiday season, whether you are traveling or spending more time at home we know that friends and family will still be gathering around the dinner table to enjoy each others company. What better time than now to consider a dining room refresh? Travis and I are always focused on maximizing our space as we live in an apartment. That being said I teamed up with AllModern to pick out some pieces I feel would really be great in a smaller eating/dining space and also be chic and fun!

Below you can shop the pieces that truly inspire me for our dining space. I suggest looking at glass or round tables to keep your space open and give a good flow to the room. Glass pieces make the space appear larger and who doesn’t like that? You’ll also notice a lot of the furniture pieces are neutral tones as I really like to play with color in the art and accessories in the room which is why I chose this art with a punch of pink! Finally to elevate your room I like to incorporate metallic and textures which you can see in the lighting and the sideboard which as a plus adds extra storage in your space!

Feel free to click the pieces on the left if you want more details and explore more pieces from AllModern, they have tons of amazing pieces for every part of your home!

I chose a lot of pieces that you can play up in different ways since a lot of the pieces are neutral colors. This gives you a lot of room to play or change up the space down the road if you choose to change your color scheme at least your main pieces are timeless and will go with tons of different color options when it comes to art and accessories.

Also with small dining spaces try to really maximize your space with the pieces you choose. For us a place for 4 people to all eat together is really important. The pieces I chose allow for 4 people to always be able to eat together. If you use a bench you might also be able to give more seating and slide it under the table when finished to save space.

You can also use sideboards or tables that provide more storage to give you room for extra things. This is a perfect solution if you need more room for dishes or special items for holidays, like table décor, napkins, table runners anything like that.

You can also check out AllModern and this great blog post with more small dining room ideas to accomplish the perfect dining room space for you and your family this holiday season!

Glo Skin Beauty: Retinol + C Smoothing Peel Review

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday!

Today I wanted to share a review with you of the new Glo Skin Beauty Services in a Box Collection that just recently launched! First off plain and simple these services are amazing! If there is one thing you need to know that is it! They are amazing, include everything you could need, and worth the money for the box!

Let me give you a little background on the Services in a Box Collection.  Glo Skin Beauty saw a need for this service in our current situation with quarantine and staying home, which is why they brought the treatment room to our homes. “By reinterpreting, reinventing and reimagining the professional skincare ritual for today’s “socially distant” society,  they have created something entirely new and exceptionally beautiful. Introducing Glo Treatments-in-a-Box, designed exclusively for at-home use. These elevated essentials are sure to bring you renewed radiance and a beautifully restored glow. Glo Skin Beauty products are found everywhere professional skincare is performed. And thanks to this new, highly innovative, multi-step collection, your bathroom is no exception.”

Glo Skin Beauty first launched boxes back in May after realizing the need for at home professional grade skin care services due to COVID shutting down spas. The boxes actually sold out in less than a week and were even featured in Vogue! As a result, they decided to relaunch the Retinol + C Smoothing box and create two new treatments, GlyPro AHA Resurfacing Peel and Bio-Renew EGF Cell Repairing Facial.

I had the honor of chatting with Esthetician and Glo Skin Beauty Global Education Ambassador and Aesthetics lead, Stephanie Scalet as she personally walked me through the steps for the peel so I knew what to expect when doing it myself. Not only was she super sweet she was thorough with the instructions as well as let me know what to expect when going through the peel process. Super helpful and informative!

Now let’s talk about the actual peel itself. I received the Retinol + C Smoothing Peel which is meant to help restore your skin’s radiance with this professional-level, ultra smoothing retinol + vitamin C treatment. The kit includes all products and accessories to perform a complete at-home peel: bringing the treatment room to your bathroom! No appointment necessary. How awesome is that?! The box had absolutely everything I could possibly have needed for my at home peel, they thought of every detail down to the tissue to blot excess product, something I so appreciate!

For those of you that love to know the steps and detailed instructions this part is for your! The box comes with clear and concise instructions for the peel, there are no guessing games here! Below you will find the exact instructions from the box:

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cleanse face with Glycolic Resurfacing Cleanser, avoiding the eye area.

2. Saturate one 2x2 gauze pad with Hydra-Bright Pro 5 Liquid Exfoliant (use about half of the bottle). Swipe evenly all over the face, then discard the gauze pad. Allow to dry for about 30 seconds, then saturate the second 2x2 gauze pad with remaining Hydra-Bright Pro 5 Liquid Exfoliant and repeat application. Discard gauze pad and allow the face to dry.

3. Apply Renew Serum evenly to the face (use a pea size amount) and allow to dry for about 30- 60 seconds.

4. Protect sensitive areas of the face with Barrier Balm. Use cotton swabs to apply fully around each eye (encircle the entire orbital area), nostrils, lips and earlobes. Apply to any additional sensitive areas as needed.

5. Pour contents of Retinol + C Peel Boost in Mask Cup. Open by pushing up on the white top until it snaps off. Take the silver ring and pull down to break the seal, then remove entire outer silver covering. Remove the rubber stopper. Use the Mask Brush to carefully apply a thin, even layer to the face, décolleté and back of hands. It is not recommended to apply to the neck area if you have sensitive skin. Leave on skin for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use tissue to thoroughly blot off excess product by pressing into skin (do not rub or wipe product off completely). Note: a subtle yellow cast is normal to see after blotting product. Do not apply other products to face until the next morning.

6. Cleanse face the next morning with Gentle Cream Cleanser. To enhance your peel results, apply Renew Serum 3-5 nights per week.

POST PEEL CARE TIPS • Do not vigorously rub the skin, use mechanical scrubs or pick at the skin. • Do not exercise for 24-48 hours post peel. Avoid heat, steam and humidity (especially directly to face). Do not wax or use depilatories for 7 days post peel. • Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher for a minimum of 14 days post peel.

Again I can’t recommend the Glo Skin Beauty Treatments-in-a-Box enough! I was able to take some me time and enjoy a spa service while still being in the comfort and safety of my own home! I’ve also shared a day 1 and day 5 photo below of my results, which only continue to get better! I’ve noticed a huge change in my skin, it looks brighter as well as  improved mask acne I’ve been getting from wearing a mask.  I’m so amazed at the level of quality and detail that is in this product! Definitely a 10 out of 10 for me!

This is a sponsored post, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Summer 2020 Recap

As summer comes to close even though here in the sunshine state it’s boiling hot, I wanted to give an ode to summer as it is my favorite season next to winter! The whole year has been a bit different but summer especially was different for me and my family! Summer is the time we vacation and visit family up north which is unfortunately on the back burner until regulations change on some things. It’s been a tough season this year.

However some really exciting things have happened this summer! I hired a business coach at the start of summer and she has brought me into a new season of working for myself! This summer all within a couple of month’s Travis lost his job, started an amazing new job, and I left my job to pursue my passion, y’all it’s unreal to think this is our life right now!

So just remember no matter how tough things get there is something better coming! I promise! You just need to believe it!

She does an amazing job featuring amazing meats, cheeses, savory and sweet and this is an absolute must for me now when I visit home! It is such a treat!

Sarasota has tons of amazing breakfast spots but if you’re in the mood for an amazing donut look no further because Five-O donuts are the most amazing things ever! They offer classic as well as super special donuts and I can’t recommend them enough if you want a special treat!

The colors are amazing and even if you just need a good photo head out that way but I promise you the food is a must too! They have great options for breakfast and lunch and some fun drinks also! The service is amazing and it’s a spot you don’t want to miss out on!
