Bottomless Brunch with The Fountain Kitchen & Wine Bar

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

This past weekend Travis and I had the opportunity to attend Bottomless Brunch at The Fountain Kitchen & Wine Bar in Sarasota! We are huge foodies and love brunch so of course we were super excited to start off our Saturday with some yummy food and drinks!

If you have never been, The Fountain Kitchen & Wine Bar is quite literally located right behind a fountain and is located in the historic district of Sarasota, FL. The location itself if perfection located among super cute shops and businesses, this is a great brunch spot! The restaurant has a great patio space, perfect for when the weather is nice, we really enjoyed it! The inside is chic as well with a modern feel and focus on the bar and the wine on the walls, it’s so fun and different! Anyways, let’s talk drinks, first off the bottomless drinks are amazing and you have the option of mimosas or bellinis (my personal favorite). Next up the food, y’all the food what AMAZING! The menu is simple with something for everyone, whether you like sweet, savory, or classic there is something for you! I chose to go with the french toast with fresh berries and bacon, which was some of the best french toast I have ever had! It was perfectly soft and fluffy and the berries and cream were a perfect pairing! Travis ordered the breakfast pizza, if was more than a personal size and topped with eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, cheese and onion, it was Travis approved and he finished the whole thing! To top it all off the service was amazing! Our glasses were never empty and we were always taken care of!

So needless to say we had a great time at brunch on Saturday not only were the food and bottomless drinks amazing, the ambiance was so calming and easy going! It was so easy to enjoy ourselves and take our time sipping our drinks and relaxing on the patio! I would highly recommend checking them out for your next brunch! Check out their who menu HERE they are also open for lunch and dinner!

Valentine's Day Sweets

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! We all know Valentine's Day is about chocolates and flowers but I'm talking sugar cookies and baking in this post! I love showing my love and appreciation for people through cooking and baking for them. Baking was a huge part of my childhood and has continued into adult life. Some of my best memories growing up are helping my mom bake cookies and treats for any and every holiday. My mom is the most talented women especially when it comes to her baking and creative abilities, she's amazing! So for Valentine's Day I wanted to make one of the recipes that reminded me of my childhood, a classic sugar cookie and royal icing.  I recently took a poll on IG asking if y'all were interested in seeing the  sugar cookie recipe and y'all said yes, so here it is!

Sugar Cookie Dough:

1 1/2 cups butter, soft not melted

3/4 cup sugar

3 1/3 cups flour

1 tsp vanilla

1 to 3 tsp. milk

Mix and chill for at least 2 hrs. if not longer

Roll on floured surface

Bake at 325 for 15 min,

Royal Icing:

Use the Wilton recipe that includes meringue powder

I hope you all enjoy this post and if you make the cookies please share and let me know! :) Hope y'all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Halloween Tricks & Treats

This past weekend I went home to Sarasota and of course while I was home I helped my fabulous mother with some baking and crafting! My mom is literally the most crafty and talented person I know! She is so inspiring, there are not enough things I can say to express how much I love her! Halloween starts our extreme love for the holidays and everything that comes with them! Baking, crafting, decorating, we love it all her and I! I hope you enjoy the fun Halloween inspired tricks and treats I'm sharing with you this week! Have a great week and happy Halloween festivities!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes (GF)

The cupcakes are the Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate cake mix.  Make them based on the box instructions and add 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips to the batter.  It makes 18 cupcakes.

The Caramel Icing:

4 cups powder sugar

1 cup butter

3 Tbsp cream cheese

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup caramel sauce (used Smuckers salted caramel)

Beat with mixer and then pipe on cupcakes when cool.

Mummy Mason jars

These are super easy, as well as super cute and festive!

You will need the following:

Mason jars

Washi or craft tape

Fun face stickers

Electric tea light candles

Simply put, wrap the tape around the mason jar in a mummy like fashion. Then place stickers on the front of the jar. Lastly place a candle in the bottom and you magically have a super cute decoration or table topper!
