I'm Back-Life Update!

Happy Wednesday!

I’ve missed you here! The start of 2024 didn’t go as planned so this week’s post is catching you up on the start of the year and my hopes for the rest of 2024.

At the start of the year we lost my sweet grandmother just shy of her 94th birthday and to say it shook me is an understatement. I’ve lost many important people in my life and they all hit me different but her passing was a shock to the system which made it worse. That being said my thoughts are with any of you grieving a loved one! Shorty after getting back home I unexpectedly needed to get a new car, another thing I was not prepared for. So I went through the car buying process myself for the first time and all while preparing for another move. Yes, we move A LOT. As I’m sure you all feel it rates continue to rise as a renter so we hopefully won’t be moving for a few years from our new place.

Travis started a new job that he loves. We also celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. To say 2024 has been a RIDE up until now is an understatement.

We have some fun trips coming up this year and I’m hoping to have a new website here in time for our 8th blog anniversary!

I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I started the blog and this brand! 7 years ago I started this while I was working for an art gallery out of college and wanted a creative outlet where I could share my love of fashion and lifestyle and everything in-between!

I’m so grateful for all of you that read a blog post or liked a photo on IG. Because of you I’m living out my dream working for myself and get amazing opportunities to work with amazing people and I just couldn’t be more grateful for the lost art of a blog!

What's Coming in 2023!

Hi Friends!

It’s been a while but I wanted to catch you up and give you some life updates! The holidays were extremely busy and we had quit a few life changes mixed into the last month of 2022 so I took a step back from social to focus on business.

In December Travis was let go from his job in mortgage, if you’re in that industry you get it, he’s making some career changes and helping me while I’m building my business A LOT! So needless to say we are working a lot right now building something that will provide us a lot of freedoms in the future!

Fast forward to the new year, my word for the year is CHANGE as there are many changes I’m hoping to make and see come to fruition this year! I’m focused strongly on my business and creating a healthier and more balanced lifestyle!

As we start to head into February already, wow! I’ll be bringing you all more lifestyle and fashion content along with some business tips and strategies that I’m loving!

Summer Backyard Inspo with Wayfair

I’m so exited to share the second part of this collaboration with Wayfair! I’m so inspired by coastal vides and clean lines so this outdoor set and outdoor umbrella is the perfect combination! We will be adding more of the items from the mood board below as we go but we are so excited with how it looks in the space!

Wayfair: Are there any color palettes or trends that are really speaking to you right now?

I love classic and timeless colors. I love black and white stripe and palm prints for accents but as far as furniture you can see here I love the coastal vibes of white and the teak wood.

Wayfair: What is your advice for maximizing outdoor living space for those who may only have a smaller patio or balcony?

We’ve had both now, places with smaller outdoor living spaces and larger spaces and it’s all about not overwhelming the space. Don’t cram in bigger pieces if they can’t fit. For a smaller space I love an outdoor rug with a cute bistro set and some string lights.

Wayfair: Sunshine and blue skies have us daydreaming about outdoor dining! What are your favorite style tips for alfresco tablescapes and entertaining?

I love an umbrella if you are dining outside along with fresh flowers on the table and playing with colors to enhance your outdoor pieces. If you have space I love seeing a longer table and chairs for dining and maybe a few other areas with chairs or a bench for seating and some games as well!

Wayfair: Which pieces do you recommend investing in for your outdoor space? Which pieces do you change out to keep your oasis fresh and on-trend?

I would definitely recommend investing in a set as we did with plenty of seating available and this set is great to change up the configuration. I love to change out pillows and décor based on season and trends!

End of Q1-Check In!

We are about to enter Q2 already and I’m so excited to be moving ahead and see what’s in store!

In Q1 I made the decision to hire a new business coach and she has been such a pleasure to work with and learn from. I’ve started implementing new systems and practices to better my business and show up more for my clients. I’ve been restructuring how I show up on social media as well and though I haven’t been on IG much lately I’m planning things out to be there more consistently, sometimes we all need a refresh and a reboot! Hi, that’s me!

However looking into Q2 things will be shifting and changing. We will find out if we are staying at our current place or will be considering house hunting…hard to fathom right now! 2022-Making Plans & Setting Goals

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope your new year has been off to a great start so far! We were sick during the holidays and are finally getting over it, as I was suffering from a sinus infection that kept lingering…ugh!

But enough of that, I wanted to share some updates and some goals I have for the new year with you! First off we are hoping and praying that this might be the year we get a house, now this is not for certain and hard to think about with the FL housing market booming and everyone moving here so we are keeping options open but that is something I would LOVE for us this year! As far as business goals, I’m hoping to double my income from last year and continue to serve my clients and help you all thrive on social media! A few personal goals include, I’m sure like most, to drink more water, move my body more and focus on my mental and physical health. Not for weight lose but to feel better!

New Year, Same Look

I’m sharing a go to look from LC Lauren Conrad that is perfect if you are going back to the office or just need a good basic look for everyday.

If you don’t know already Lauren Conrad jeans are some of my favorite denim! They are a staple in my closet and a must have if you haven’t tried them. I paired it with a fun silk top from Lauren Conrad as well and some Vionic flats that are my go to.

Again such a great, affordable look for the office or pieces just to have in your closet!

Christmas Cocktails & Dessert

Last week we did a fun event for our community and I wanted to share some of it with you! Inspire you for any parties or events you have coming up this holiday season!

We did Christmas Cocktails including hot chocolate, eggnog, and champagne . We had an assortment of things people could spike their drinks with as well as hot chocolate toppings, garnish and all the fun, festive things! We also of course had desserts to go with the fun drinks!

How are we already this far into December? Time is escaping me and I’m trying to soak up all the holiday fun and festivities, work and enjoy all of it!

I wanted to share that no matter if you are attending holiday parties, gift exchanges, holiday shopping or whatever the case may be this season, LC Lauren Conrad has you covered for all your holiday fashion and gifting needs!

This dress is one of my favorites mostly due to the silhouette. I love the length and the shape and you can definitely dress it up or down depending on the occasion!

I have the perfect Thanksgiving dress for you! This faux wrap dress from LC Lauren Conrad is great for any occasion but especially for being comfortable and cute for Thanksgiving! This dress is easy to dress up with heels or wedges or keep it casual with some sneakers and a jacket. So no matter the look you are going for this dress is a great option! I also love that it isn’t form fitting so it’s super comfortable to wear while eating Thanksgiving meal!
